Atlanta Public Schools completes $18M South Atlanta High renovation - covered entrance, stadium and ADA upgrades on the southside

Rough Draft Atlanta reports Atlanta Public Schools completed an $18 million, multi-year renovation at South Atlanta High School with an Oct. 28 ribbon cutting, funded by the E-SPLOST sales tax. Improvements include a new covered entrance and atrium, a security vestibule, a renovated counseling and student success center, a renovated sports stadium, a refinished gym floor, air conditioning upgrades and ADA accessibility work, with Superintendent Dr. Bryan Johnson and City Councilmember Antonio Lewis attending the ceremony. For a fix-and-flipper: sustained public investment in southside schools is the kind of block-level upgrade that supports buyer confidence and comps across the surrounding South Atlanta market - a marketing point for renovals in a corridor already seeing new-construction momentum.
