Atlanta hosts community meetings Nov. 4-10 on pushing six Tax Allocation Districts out to 2055 - Eastside, Westside, Hollowell/MLK, Perry Bolton, Campbellton Road, Stadium and Metropolitan Parkway

SaportaReport reports Invest Atlanta is holding community meetings Nov. 4 through Nov. 10 in each existing Tax Allocation District area as the city pushes to extend six TADs - Eastside, Westside, Hollowell/MLK, Perry Bolton, Campbellton Road, Stadium Neighborhoods and Metropolitan Parkway - through 2055, with online office hours, NPU visits and sessions with groups like the Westside Future Fund and Grove Park Foundation feeding updated redevelopment plans due in early 2027. A June TAD audit pushed the agency toward better performance, transparency and measurable goals; Invest Atlanta hired four consulting groups and built an interactive project map, and CEO Eloisa Klementich said the redevelopment plans will likely be redone and that many things may change along the way. TADs freeze the base property tax value inside a district and redirect incremental tax revenue growth to redevelopment for the life of the district - an extension to 2055 keeps subsidy flowing to projects inside those boundaries. For a fix-and-flipper: renovation deals inside or beside these districts get a multi-decade public-reinvestment tailwind, and the November meetings are the open door to see which corridors the money will target before the new plans land in 2027.
